Red River is seeking an exceptional individual for this Sacramento, CA based position. The Senior Accountant will act as the lead accountant for the Enterprise Application division in Sacramento, CA. The primary responsibilities will include compiling and analyzing financial information to prepare reports, making and reviewing the accuracy of general ledger entries, and account reconciliations, as well as the processing of commissions and payroll. The Staff Accountant will also drive the division month-end close process, treasury reporting and financial statement preparation that will be submitted to Corporate for consolidation. The Senior Accountant will identify streamline opportunities of processes and continue to build and enhance process documentation. + Preliminary financial statement preparation for enterprise application division + Monthly and annual close procedures (account reconciliations, preparation of standard JE's, research and analysis of variances) + Oversight of daily divisional activity processed through accounts receivable/payable + Processing of commissions and payroll + Submit borrowing base certificate to bank for cash advances + Reconcile loan and cash balances daily + Assist with the interim and year-end audits and other related projects as required + Deliver miscellaneous reporting requests + Execute process improvement initiatives as assigned or identified + Assist Controller with adherence to company compliance with Financial Accounting Standards, Cost Accounting Standards, Federal Acquisition Regulations, and disclosed Company practices + Collaborate with all levels of staff and management throughout the organization to accomplish the department mission + Bachelors in Accounting or finance, and 4-6 years related experience + Understanding of GAAP, and accrual based accounting + Experience creating and preparing g/l account support schedules + A high level of computer competency, particularly in the area of Microsoft excel (pivot tables, Vlookup) + Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills + Works well cross functionally in a growing fast paced environment + Experience using Microsoft Navision helpful + Public Accounting experience and CPA license or working towards obtaining license desirable Performance Expectations + Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision + Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers + Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments + Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations Candidates for the job should possess excellent organizational skills as well as the ability to efficiently multi-task.
