Job Description
The California Pharmacists Association (CPhA) Director of Accounting & Human Resources position is responsible for leading CPhA’s daily accounting activities, human resource functions, and overseeing building operations. The position manages all day-to-day accounting functions of the organization in collaboration with accounting staff, CFO, and CEO.

The Director of Accounting & Human Resources will possess the following skill set:

* Broad accounting transactional experience and financial reporting in nonprofit organizations.
* Experience in leading a multi-division budgeting and reporting processes.
* General knowledge of association membership organizations.
* Excels at multi-tasking and maintains a high attention to detail.
* Provide leadership and cultivate a culture of respect and trust within the accounting department and overall organization.

Job Requirements

Specifically, the Director of Accounting & Human Resources will:
* Lead the daily, weekly, and monthly accounting transaction and reconciliation processes to ensure complete and competent accounting records in accordance with GAAP
* Provide leadership in managing confidential human resources information and processes
* Lead multiple divisions in the annual budgeting process in collaboration with the CFO and CEO
* Manage general ledger processes including establishing, modifying and updating the chart of accounts
* Collaborate with the CFO and CEO on other bookkeeping functions as requested
* Provide oversight, leadership and direction to accounting team members
* Establish, follow and revise (as needed) accounting department policies & procedures in accordance with GAAP
* Provide support to CFO in preparation and onsite activities related to the annual audit of records
* Complete month-end closing processes in accordance with deadlines and in collaboration with department staff.
* Oversee building office management contracts and liaison with vendors as needed to perform services
* Provide management to CPh-PAC financial reporting processes
